As a clinical psychologist, my education includes intensive study of the biological, emotional, cognitive, and behavioral aspects of human functioning. In addition, throughout my training, I have focused to how these forces interact to influence what we think, feel, and do. I received my doctorate in Clinical Psychology from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. I completed my pre-doctoral internship at the Neurologic Institute of North Broward Hospital, where I focused primarily on evaluation and treatment with individuals suffering from neurologic impairment.
I maintain professional membership in the following organizations:
• American Psychological Association (APA), member
• APA Division of Psychologists in Independent Practice
• APA Division of Neuropsychology
• APA Division of Aging
I have also received training in cognitive behavioral and interpersonal psychotherapy with clients ranging from adolescents to older adults. Throughout the process of evaluation/assessment, I work closely with clients to identify their own unique pattern of strengths and weaknesses. In this way, we can work as a team to identify effective goals and strategies for dealing the problems that presented in therapy, but utilizing their own strengths and building on their coping skills.
