I have been working in the mental health field since 1982. After receiving my Ph.D. in clinical psychology, I did training in Neuropsychology at UC Davis Medical Center. Since 1990 I have had ongoing training in Cognitive Therapy with Christine Padesky, Ph.D. and have been certified in Gestalt Therapy by the Sierra Institute for Contemporary Gestalt Therapy. I have a Post-Doctoral Master of Science Degree in Clinical Psychopharmacology and practiced for two years at CARES in Sacramento.

I had the great opportunity to teach most of the core courses for the doctoral degree which let me "renew" my own degree. I taught psychopharmacology, Cognitive Therapy, physiological psychology, neuropsychology, and other courses.

My current interests are the neurobiology of attachment and couples therapy. I am a member of the Disaster Mental Health team and I volunteer to Give An Hour to a veteran or his/her family.

I have been a member of the board of the California Psychological Association (CPA) and I am a Past-chair of CPA Division for Clinical Psychopharmacology. I am also president of the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association.
