Dr. Melanie Badali is a Registered Psychologist practicing at the North Shore Stress and Anxiety Clinic in North Vancouver, BC. She received her Doctoral and Master's degrees in Clinical Psychology from the University of British Columbia and her Bachelor of Arts (Honours Psychology) degree from McGill University. She completed her pre-doctoral Clinical Psychology Residency at the University of Washington School of Medicine.
Dr. Badali provides assessment and evidence-based treatment services for a range of clinical concerns related to anxiety, stress, depression, chronic pain, rehabilitation, health behavior change, and self-esteem issues. She uses Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) to help clients gain self-understanding and learn new ways to solve problems, manage symptoms, and cope with stress. She also uses Motivational Interviewing to promote health behavior change. Her approach is collaborative and goal oriented. She works with clients to achieve personal change and enhance their everyday lives.
Dr. Badali also enjoys teaching and research. She has taught psychology at the University of British Columbia, Kwantlen Polytechnic University, and Vancouver Community College. She has published her research in academic journals, given presentations at national and international scientific conferences, and written several self-help workbooks.
