Dr. Steinman provides psychotherapy services to adults and older adults. She especially enjoys working with people who have anxiety disorders and panic attacks. She also works with people who are dealing with depression, stress, and relationship difficulties. She uses a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy and Mindfulness in her work. She also provides cognitive assessments for adults who are concerned about their memory or other brain functions.
Dr. Steinman obtained her undergraduate degree from the University of Illinois. She attended the University of Southern California, where she earned her Ph.D. in Clinical Psychology. In addition to her general clinical training, she studied gerontology at the USC Andrus Gerontology Center. She later completed a two year post-doctoral fellowship at UCLA in Clinical Neuropsychology, where she focussed her studies on cognitive assessment. She has been in private practice for over 25 years.
