I earned my Ph.D. in clinical psychology from the University of North Texas in 2007. My doctoral training focused on general clinical psychology (conducting diagnostic evaluations, providing individual and group psychotherapy) with a specialized focus in forensic issues, both from a research and clinical perspective. I completed my predoctoral internship at Atascadero State Hospital, a maximum security forensic hospital in California. I then completed a postdoctoral fellowship in clinical forensic psychology at State Operated Forensic Services in Minnesota. From 2008 to 2014, I was employed full-time at the South Carolina Department of Mental Health Forensic Evaluation Service, where I conducted court-ordered psychological evaluations. I also had a private practice through the University of South Carolina School of Medicine Department of Neuropsychiatry and Behavioral Science. In that capacity, I conducted evaluations and performed consultative work in civil forensic matters (personal injury cases, disability claims). I currently have a private practice in Austin, TX, where I conduct a variety of diagnostic assessments and forensic evaluations.
