Kathy Sexton is a Licensed Professional Counselor (LPC) who works with adult clients and adolescents. Her style is down to earth and her approach is direct and compassionate. Kathy worked in the business sector for over 10 years, but decided to pursue her true passion as a therapist. In 2005, she received a Master of Science (MS) in Counseling and Psychology from Troy State University. Kathy has been working for Southwest Behavioral Health for the last 4 years and recently joined Deer Valley Counseling in 2010. She is passionate about helping people to find their own power and move forward in their lives. She counsels adults and adolescents having difficulties with anxiety, depression, self-concept, grief, trauma, and substance abuse. She also counsels couples and families who want to improve their relationships.
