Since 1991 Jennica Jenkins has worked with children and adolescents and adults in Portland Oregon, Los Angeles, Ventura, and Placer County CA as a classroom teacher, school counselor, counselor supervisor, professor, and therapist. In 1999 she founded TeensforHumanityTM, a nationally recognized youth violence and bullying prevention, peace unity promoting organization. Jennica often presents her research on adolescent counseling at conferences and conventions across the United States. In 2001 she began teaching graduate level courses training future counselors and psychologists at Azusa Pacific, California Lutheran, and La Verne Universities. In 2003 Jennica Jenkins obtained certification as a school trauma and loss specialist and has been invited to assist in the crisis response after numerous campus tragedies across California. She was a Fema crisis counselor after the northridge earthquake and southern CA fires, and she has directed numerous student assistance programs.
In 2006, she and her husband relocated to Placer County where she resumed her work with teens as an intervention counselor for the Roseville joint union high school district where she was awarded the 2008 Excellence in Education Award for her intervention counseling programs. Dr. Jennica Jenkins earned her hours towards licensure as a registered psychological assistant at the Monarch Center in Roseville CA under Dr Tanda Almont. Currently, Jennica Jenkins is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor. She was the Mental Health Grant Program Coordinator at Sierra College, and now is the Clinical Director at The Blue Sky Counseling Center in Roseville CA.
Jennica Jenkins combines her clinical experience with her years in education benefit children and teens so they can achieve success at home and school. She has therapeutic experience with individual children, pre-teens, adolescents, and adults. Jennica Jenkins has experience with GLBTQ and multi-diverse client needs.
