With a doctoral degree in Clinical Psychology from Argosy University, a Master's Degree in Counseling Psychology from the Alfred Adler Institute of Minnesota, and 2 additional degreees in mathematics from the University of Michigan, I bring a broad knowledge base, experience in government, small and large corporations, and an understanding of a wide variety of people to my work as a psychologist. Prior to becoming a psychologist, I worked as a software engineer and engineering manager in the defense electronics industry. I decided to become a psychologist because I wanted a career that embraced my values of helping people to achieve their goals. I have worked as a licensed psychologist since 1995, initially in Minnesota, and now, since September, 2006, in Bluffton, South Carolina.
I view myself as a caring clinician who offers warmth, compassion, and understanding. I partner with clients to work toward their goals, be it more fulfilling relationships, a more rewarding job, inner peace, or self-acceptance. Together, the client and I choose one or more methods that are appropriate for the types of issues with which we are working.
