Dr. Rick is a forensic/clinical psychologist practicing in Ventura, Santa Barbara, and Los Angeles Counties in California. Dr. Rick has been practicing psychology since 1977. His first court appointment as a child custody evaluator came in 1981. Since that time, Dr. Rick has conducted several hundred custody evaluations as the court's expert. He also engages in civil, criminal and administrative cases involving psychological issues. Dr. Rick is an adjunct faculty member of Antioch University, Santa Barbara where he teaches expert witness/child custody and legal/ethical courses. Dr. Rick has been the director of substance abuse, adult psychiatric, adolescent psychiatric programs in private psychiatric hospitals and was a staff psychologist at Camarillo State Hospital/Developmental Center.
