I have over 25 years experience specializing in individual and group psychotherapy working with adults in and out of the hospital. Our practice offers a full continuum of care, from once a week individual therapy to daily contact. We offer an office based intensive outpatient program (IOP) for those in crises who are need to be seen frequently without hospitalization. Our IOP has been the subject of several research projects and has been published for demonstrating outstanding treatment results and high consumer satisfaction.
We specialize in crisis management and assisting individuals in finding current solutions to immediate concerns. Additionally, since some behaviors are not easily changed in these instances, life changing psychotherapy may be indicated to alter self defeating behavioral patterns. These problems often surface in intimate relationships, but may also affect working relationships, and usually involve a history of poor relationship choices, feelings of inadequacy, guilt, worthlessness, fearfulness, apprehension and dread that undermine the development of successful relationships.
I have also been involved extensively in psychological assessment, forensic evaluations and disability determinations. I have published frequently in the areas of personality assessment, post-traumatic stress disorder, and treatment effectiveness. I belong to local, state and national psychological associations and have held offices at both the local and state level.
