About Dr. Sabina Grosse
Dr. Grosse received her BA in Psychology from the Union Institute and University of Chicago. Prior to that Dr. Grosse had spent many years working in the medical field at the Sutter Hospitals in Northern California. This medical background proved to be a very useful launching pad for her graduate studies in psychology and Dr. Grosse routinely integrates that experience and knowledge in her psychological practice.
Dr. Grosse completed internships at a residential Rehabilitation Program and Triad Family Foster Care Agency. Her Post-doctoral hours were spent working in both the Placerville Psychiatric facility, and the El Dorado County Mental Health Crisis Unit. Both of those locations provided ample opportunity to learn about the forensic aspecty of psychology, as well as treating severe mental illness. At the psychiatric hospital there were weekly cases of individuals needing assessment for competency, to either stand trial, or make their own medical decisions. Applications for conservatorship of severely mentally ill patients also took comprehensive evaluation of patients in preparation for a legal presentation.
When Dr. Molyn and Dr. Grosse founded El Dorado Hills Psychological Center, Dr. Grosse continued to contribute hours to the County's Emergency and Crisis Services which makes her uniquely familiar with a vast variety of not only Mental Health services, but the court system, our local law enforcement, and the staff at Marshall Medical Center.
Since then Dr. Grosse has also been appointed to do custody evaluations for the Superior Court of El Dorado County, as well as other psychological evaluations. Dr. Grosse also sees private clients at her office in El Dorado Hills, specializing in trauma and depression, treating adolescents with adjustment and conduct difficulties, as well as counseling and coaching individuals who are going through the divorce process.
