Areas of ExpertiseI have specialized training in evidence-based treatments, specifically in the areas of child trauma and child disruptive behavior disorders. These interventions have research support documenting their effectiveness with children.
Trauma-Focused Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT) is a treatment designed for children who are having difficulty coping with a traumatic event such as sexual abuse, witnessing violence, or the sudden death of a loved one.
Parent-Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) is an intervention designed for children ages 2-7 with demonstrated effectiveness in reducing disruptive behavior in young children and reducing future rates of physical abuse.
