I received my Master's in Secondary Education in 1981, a Master's in Counseling Psychology in 1998, and a doctorate in Psychology in 2004. I completed my supervised clinical training at Kaiser Permanente Behavioral Health Services in Honolulu and became licensed in 2005.
I offer individual therapy for children, adolescents, and adults, including elderly adults. As part of this therapy, I may conduct sessions with the family to help everyone work together. My psychological orientation is psychodynamic and cognitive-behavioral. I am especially interested in helping people with depression, anxiety, life transitions, low self-esteem, social problems, over-worrying, and trauma. I have been specially trained in EMDR, play therapy, and hypnotherapy.
