I am a licensed clinical psychologist and have been providing psychodynamic psychotherapy to adolescents and adults for over 10 years. I graduated with a doctoral degree from the California School of Professional Psychology, a graduate program fully accredited by the American Psychological Association. During my two-year internship with the James Goodrich Whitney Clinic, part of the C.G. Jung Institute of San Francisco, I trained in the use of symbols and images in psychotherapy. I worked extensively with adults of diverse cultures and ethnicities. In my career, I have provided psychotherapeutic treatment to all age groups: children. adolescents, and adults. My practice currently focuses on adolescents and adults. I have worked in various community centers and clinics as well.
Following graduation, I worked as a psychological assistant for Karen Naifeh, PhD, continuing my training in providing individual psychodynamic psychotherapy to a multicultural population of adults. My past research has included investigations regarding treatment of adult survivors of childhood sexual abuse. I also research treatment of post-traumatic stress disorder and work with Dr. Helen Marlo on issues relating to the mental health of pregnant and new mothers.
