I believe that therapy is the place for one to feel safe, to be him/herself, to understand and become more self-aware. It is your time. I appreciate the struggle and courage and willingness of my clients, and I strive to create a safe, supportive environment where we work together on finding and creating options for a healthier life.
I work with anxiety, depression, relationship issues, body image issues among other issues. I utilize a cognitive-behavioral approach, focusing on how thoughts affect ensuing behaviors and how to change that unhealthy thinking. I look at the role one played in their family dynamic and how that role impacts life today.
I work primarily with adults and adolescents. I am engaged and involved, as I see therapy as a collaborative proces. Therapy is a very powerful and useful tool in one's life.
