Dr. Rebecca Dodge holds joint doctorates in Educational Psychology and Special Education from the University of California, Los Angeles and California, State University, Los Angeles. She is a Licensed Educational Psychologist and Professional Educational Therapist who has taught at several universities and holds credentials in Counseling, Special Education and School Psychology.

Areas of ExpertiseAcademic Therapy specializes in psychological and educational counseling that is client centered and focused on specific behavioral goals generated by the client and therapist. As such, we use a variety of assessment tools to determine the client's needs and then develop a prescriptive plan focused on meeting those needs, whether it is therapy, educational therapy (learning disabiities tuturing, or a collaboration with other health professionals.
As a highly trained special educator, Dr. Dodge is also qualified by the state to do Functional Analysis Assessments and Behavior Intervention Planning for individuals with autism, and severe emotional disturbance.
She has done hundreds of Independent psycho-educational evaluations of children and adults and has trained School Psychologists for California State University, San Diego.
As a certified Collaborative Divorce Specialist, Dr. Dodge does Child Custody Evaluations and helps parents focus on the needs of their children when going through a difficult divorce. She also does workshops in this area.
