Dr. Lyndsay Elliott has a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology, and attended both Pepperdine University and California State University, Northridge for her graduate and undergraduate coursework. With an extensive background in psychoanalytic theory from the Wright Institute of Los Angeles, Dr. Elliott supplemented her training with cognitive and brief, solution focused interventions from through pre and postdoctoral placements at UCLA and various local agencies. While at UCLA, Dr. Elliott also worked as a Research Associate in Neurology, and was a Lecturer in pain management. She also completed a one-year clerkship at Pasadena City College, becoming familiar with a wide range of psychological assessments.

In 1996, Dr. Elliott took a special interest in eating disorders, and was the founder of an eating disorder peer education program at Cal State University, Northridge, which continues to be successful to this day. Over the last ten years she has gained extensive experience in inpatient, day treatment, aftercare, residential and private settings. Wanting to learn more about the physical implications of disordered eating patterns, Dr. Elliott’s clinical dissertation consisted of meta-analysis of biological contributors of eating disorders.
