Dr. Bezmalinovic earned her doctorate at the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology, Rutgers University. She completed an internship at the Department of Psychiatry, University of California Davis Medical Center, and a post-doctoral fellowship at Counseling and Psychological Services, University of California at Davis, where she had an emphasis area in behavioral medicine.

In her training and experience post-licensure, Dr. Bezalinovic has worked in a wide variety of setting from residential treatment programs to the college counseling centers. This has provided the opportunity to work with many types of issues. One area of particular interest is in exploring how fear or anxiety can operate in everyday life to prevent meaningful changes from happening. A second area of interest in blocks to creativity.
