My educational background includes graduating from the University of Massachusetts with a Bachelor's in Psychology, Goddard College with a Master's in Counseling, and Ryokan College with a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology. I have specialized tranings as a practitioner of EMDR, Hypnosis,and Yoga. I have been a licensed psychologist since 1998, practicing previously in Los Angeles and now in Auburn California. I balance my Cognitive Behavioral Therapy practice with Interpersonal and Psychodynamic therapies. While problem solving current challenges my clients learn a plethora of tools to assist them in improving their communication strategies and coping abilities, while building assertiveness skills, personal insight, interpersonal awareness and positive self esteem. My biopsychosocial perspective takes into account the whole person, emphasizing the acknowledgment of the mind-body connection. My clients actualize the value of taking responsibility for their choices and direction. As a therapist I promote independence and proaction.
