I graduated from the California School of Professional Psychology in San Diego in 1995. I have practiced as a psychologist in the San Francisco Bay Area for over 10 years. My current practice is in Marin County, California. I have extensive training and experience in adult, adolescent and child psychology. My special interests include working with relationship issues, anxiety and depression, life transitions, grief and loss issues, parenting consultation and the transition to parenthood.
My objective in psychotherapy is to help individuals and families make positive changes in their relationships and their lives. My initial meeting with you will include a thorough evaluation of your history and concerns to establish mutually agreed upon treatment goals. I consider psychotherapy as a collaborative process and tailor my treatment to individuals or family's specific needs and concerns.
I incorporate a variety of treatment methods into my practice depending on the individual and particular issues. This may include cognitive-behavioral therapy, solution-focused therapy, psychodynamic approaches or family systems. I also use both short-term, goal-oriented treatment as well as long-term, insight oriented treatment. I am also available for parenting consultation and child temperament evaluations.
