Goal of Services:
Psychotherapy and psychological testing help individuals gain an understanding of their existing strengths and work on perceived challenges. As a psychotherapist, I believe in helping my clients cope with emotional distress, build emotional strength and work towards positive change. I use a combination of collaborative cognitive- behavioral and psychodynamic treatment approaches, in a culturally sensitive manner.

I have over 15 years of training and experience in treating individual adults, children and families in India as well as in the United States of America.
My training and experience in psychotherapy, neuropsychology and personality testing enable me to provide comprehensive treatment to clients and make appropriate referrals when needed. My personal experience with acculturation and immigrant issues add a unique perspective when working with individuals facing acculturation challenges.

Areas of Expertise
I work with adults (18-60 years) and adolescents (13-18years)
Previous experience: Comprehensive psychodiagnostic assessments.
Currently, I use my experience to provide treatment to members of the commnunity and more recently have incorporated telehealth services.

Areas of experience in treatment: Depression, anxiety, bipolar disorder, stress from challenges in life, challenges of migration and adjustment to a new culture. My particular area of experience over the past decade has been in treating academic stress, promoting women's health and wellbeing.

Treatment approaches: Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, ACT, Polyvagal exercises for regulating the ANS and for stress relief.
Particular knowledge from study and clinical experience: Cultural aspects of the south asian family systems and their impact on mental health including the Indian joint family system.
