Dr. Michael Dayan is a clinical counsellor & psychotherapist focusing on issues of anxiety & depression (including stress, panic, & low-mood); complex pain (fibromyalgia, injury, & disability); communications (intimate-, family- & work-relationships including cross-cultural & intergenerational concerns); life-transitions (adjustment to change, grief & loss); men’s issues; parenting support; and wellness & goal setting. Michael's clinical experience is in Bowen Family Systems, Adlerian Individual Psychology, Existential Analysis, Narrative Psychology, Psychodynamic Psychotherapy, Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy, and Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT). Michael is a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) with degrees from McGill University (PhD), Columbia University (MA), and University of Toronto (BA) and a diploma from the Medical School of the University of California at San Diego. Since receiving his Ph.D. in 2005 Michael has taught both graduate and undergraduate students and supervised masters theses and clinical practicums. Michael is currently accepting new clients – individuals, couples, family, & group – in his Vancouver & Richmond offices.
