Marcella Kreysa, Psy.D.

Sacramento, CA

9166720870

I am a fully bilingual, bicultural Latina who has been specializing in therapeutic work with children and their families for over 8 years in both English and Spanish.

I have had the pleasure of working in a variety of settings throughout my training
including; community mental health clinics in Sacramento and throughout the bay area; several different schools ranging from preschools to high schools; Contra Costa's First 5 programs; San Mateo's Juvenile hall; Alameda County's receiving home; as well as an inpatient psychiatric hospital.

I have focused on helping vulnerable families find strength and resilience after experiencing difficulties including trauma, loss, and relational disturbances.

I am accredited in Triple P, a positive parenting framework to help parents and children find more balance and joy in their lives. This training grants me the opportunity to work with parents to build a stronger connection and understanding of their child, while helping to establish a structure that fits the family's needs.

In addition to my clinical work, I am also an adjunct professor for graduate level students and offer trainings on a variety of topics to help share my knowledge and experience with those who are interested in continuing to learn and grow.

I am also the Early Career Chair of Sacramento Valley Psychological Association and have been recently involved with the planning and organizing of various events in order to help bridge the gap of early career psychologist and those established in the Sacramento and Bay Area in order to better support our clients.
