Greetings and thank you for your interest.

My focus is helping you develop your internal resources so you can overcome the challenges you face; inspiring you to live healthier, and experience the blessings of wellness. My small private practice allows me the privilege of working closely with my patients to develop a professional working relationship that supports growth. Expect a great deal of compassion, humor, and homework, as I believe your ability to integrate skills is key to our therapeutic success.

Qualifications and Background:

I am a California Licensed Psychologist (PSY22730) earning my Doctorate in clinical psychology in 2000, at the Professional School of Psychology’s Sacramento Campus. My post-doctoral training included a three-year internship with the California Youth Authority working with young violent offenders and conducting Parole Board assessments. After licensure, I worked in an intensive outpatient clinic in Fair Oaks specializing in treatment of Aspergers, mood disorders and chronic pain.

I am a professional member of the Society for Experimental and Clinical Hypnosis, the Sacramento Valley Psychological Association, and the California Psychological Association.

Services

In my work with individuals, I generally use a combination of Cognitive-Behavioral training (CBT), symptom management skills training, and mindfulness-based practices to help you develop an understanding of how your mind and body work together to affect your well-being. These approaches help you identify and work with your thoughts, feelings and behavior so that in addition to feeling better, you also learn how to live healthier.

In my work with families, I generally integrate complimentary approaches for behavioral change and communication skill training. I am experienced working with people in recovery from acute and chronic health conditions, as well as those families who are working to improve academic performance and healthy communication.

I welcome physician-referred patients for a wide range of medical conditions, including Anxiety, Depression, Hypertension, IBS, Pain Management, PTSD, and Weight Loss.

These services are provided to individuals and families living in the greater Sacramento area and as far North as Clear Lake and South as Modesto; East of Jackson and West as Saint Helena.

Telemedicine services are available to my clients whom are too ill to travel or far away.
