In sessions I apply theory, current research and technique. I also incorporate relevant aspects of my real self. This approach is based on my belief that personal problems are the result of early faulty relationships that can be repaired (without "blaming") in the context of the client's fantasied and actual relationship with the therapist. The authenticity, trust and open-ness between myself and my clients form a special bond that strengthens the client's capacity to cope with life's stressors past and present.

My methods, applied to individual, couple and/or group therapy, are rooted in the Humanistic tradition and presented to the client from a "Relational Perspective"; an orientation that in many areas of the country is becoming the state of the art.

I am very comfortable with myself and my clients sense my genuineness, including a sense of humor that can be very disarming and therapeutic. I am a published author of numerous articles and books.
