Would you like to improve your emotional and physical well-being, strengthen your relationships, or increase your strategies for effectively dealing with stress, depression, anxiety, or challenging life situations?
I am a licensed psychologist providing psychotherapy services in the Washington, DC area, and I am dedicated to assisting individuals, couples, and families in achieving their goals.
I earned my Doctorate in Clinical Psychology at The Massachusetts School of Professional Psychology. During that time, I worked and trained in a variety of settings, including a hospital for children, a community health clinic, a community mental health center, and a university counseling center. I have also worked with families and teens through a non-profit youth services agency and served as a volunteer crisis counselor for survivors of sexual assault, abuse, and relationship violence.
For the past 4 years, I have mostly worked with older adolescents and young adults in university counseling centers. I currently serve as a Staff Psychologist & Trauma Specialist in Georgetown University's Counseling and Psychiatric Service. I greatly enjoy being a part of a vibrant and diverse campus community.
As a Licensed Clinical Psychologist, I also have a practice in Dupont Circle and Georgetown where I work with individuals, couples, and families of a variety of backgrounds and experiences. As a therapist, I see myself as a collaborative guide in helping clients to achieve their goals. I am warm, compassionate, and accepting. I encourage clients to honor their own ideas, beliefs, experiences, and feelings, sharing mine when it seems appropriate and helpful.
The decision about whether or not to enter therapy or whether you might benefit is a difficult one. Please feel free to contact me at 571-235-4832 or firstname.lastname@example.org if you have questions about my practice or want to discuss anything further with me that might be helpful in making your decision.
