Dr. Anna Naify is a Registered Psychological Assistant supervised by Licensed Clinical Psychologist Dr. Tanda Almont (PSY19914) at The Monarch Center. She is committed to providing psychotherapy services to youth and families. Utilizing client strengths, she offers an integrative approach to psychotherapy. She collaborates with families to provide individualized treatment and promote growth.
Dr. Naify holds a Bachelor's degree in psychology from UC Santa Cruz and a Doctorate degree in Clinical Psychology from the California School of Professional Psychology (AIU) in Sacramento, CA. Her doctoral research focused on the development of a strength-based intervention for depression in adolescent girls.
In her clinical work Dr. Naify was originally trained as a Behavior Consultant for children with Autism. She also has varied experience providing individual, group, and family psychotherapy in private and public mental health settings. More recently, Dr. Naify worked for Marin County Community Mental Health in the department of Youth and Family Services. There, she was trained in Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), narrative therapy, family therapy, and worked with adolescents on juvenile probation.
ServicesDr. Naify offers individual and family therapy for children, adolescents, and adults. She uses an integrative approach to treatment that includes interpersonal, relational, strength-based, solution-focused, CBT, DBT, narrative, and client-centered play techniques. Dr. Naify collaborates with families to provide treatment that extends to home and school.
Parent Consulting
Dr. Naify offers parent consulting to address concerns related to parenting and family issues. This may include parent coaching on effective consequences, understanding child development, and exploring how the family can help each other grow.
DBT
Dr. Naify also offers Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) for adolescents who experience difficulty with interpersonal effectiveness, emotion regulation, and self-harm behavior. DBT is an a treatment that incorporates CBT (Cognitive Behavior Therapy) with Buddhist mindfulness techniques. Please contact Dr. Naify for information on DBT group and individual therapy.
