I obtained my doctorate degree in 1995 from The California School of Professional Psychology. I was licensed in 1998 and since that time I have worked in a variety of settings. I currently work at a local University and I am opening a small private practice to focus on longer-term work. I consider myself a generalist, as I have worked with a variety of issues over the years. However, I enjoy working with clients coping with a vareity of issues such as depression, anxiety, eating disorders and trauma. I am in the process of obtainig my certification to teach yoga and I will at times incorporate relaxation and breathing exercises into treatment. I have been trained in a variety of treatment models and I adjust my approach slightly based on each client's particular needs. Overall however, I believe it is important to help client's identify not only their areas for growth, but also their strengths.
