Over the years, Denver psychotherapist Dr. Parker Wilson has worked with thousands of adolescents and adults who have been victimized by crime and childhood abuse, become addicted to alcohol and substances, are battling depression, grief, and anger; are grappling with intimacy and sexual issues, or are just struggling to stay together as a person, a couple, or a family.

Clients in Denver psychotherapy are typically seen on weekday afternoons and evenings and also on Saturdays. The Awakened Mind Institute has two locations: one near downtown Denver, and one near Greenwood Village and DTC.

As a teacher, Dr. Wilson currently lectures on psychology at the University of Colorado at Denver; he is also an adjunct faculty member in clinical psychology and in counseling psychology for Argosy University at Denver.

In addition to his formal clinical experience and doctoral training in the field of clinical psychology, Dr. Wilson has extensively studied Buddhist and contemplative psychology with many of the greatest living scholars and meditation masters of our time, including: Dr. B Alan Wallace, Dr. Robert Thurman, Kensar Lopsang Rinpoche, Dzigar Kongtrul Rinpoche, Anyen Rinpoche, Ven. Thubten Chodron, Ven. Robina Courtin, Ven. Thich Nhat Hahn, and His Holiness the Fourteenth Dalai Lama.

Dr. Parker Wilson provides Denver psychotherapy to adults and adolescents, and specializes in the treatment of: depression and other mood disorders, alcohol and substance abuse, sex addiction and disorder, psychological trauma, stress and anxiety disorders, grief and loss, and anger management problems. In addition to individual, group therapy, and family sessions, Dr. Wilson offers couples counseling in Denver.
